January 25th: Burns Night – When England, England becomes Scotland, Scotland!

Address to a Haggis
Fair fa’ your honest,
sonsie face,
Great chieftain o’ the puddin-race!
Aboon them a’ ye tak your place,
Painch, tripe, or thairm:
Weel are ye wordy o’ a grace
As lang’s my arm.
(Robert Burns)

On Friday, January 25th, at 8pm we will once again be commemorating the birthday of Scotland’s national poet, Robert Burns with a traditional Burns Supper. If you’ve never tried real haggis with neeps and tatties, or if you’d like to experience the great man’s poetry read out to you and listen to a piper working the magic of the bagpipes while you sip on a fine Scotch whisky, then don’t miss this event. (For the vegetarians among you, we will be serving vegetarian haggis, of course.)

Tickets cost 28 Euros (including a home-cooked, three-course meal and a glass of Scotch) and can be bought until Wednesday the 23rd January, 3pm in the shop. There are only 25 available, so hurry down!
